Inter::State release history
Changelog.
New workflows, compatibility improvements, and fixes—documented release by release.
v1.3.0 Slot Scenes, all-eight-macro Slider view, typed value entry, one-shot signal-triggered modulation, and broad workflow refinements.
Inter::State v1.3.0 and Inter::State[Bridge] v1.1.3 add Slot Scenes: a per-slot bank of eight recallable states so a single hosted plugin can switch, morph, or timed-crossfade between tonal setups instantly, without reloading anything or touching routing. Map Scene Selector, Scene Morph, or Scene Crossfade from the Slot MID Scene Target. This release also adds Slider view to the macro panel so you can see and perform all eight macros at once, plus typed value entry via double-click on dial/slider bodies (and on the Inter::State[Bridge]). Signal-triggered modulation (Input, Sidechain, and Trace 1) now behaves as a true envelope-style one-shot: the curve waits for your Threshold, plays once, then rests at the start until the next hit. Beyond those headline features, it includes a wide set of workflow and UI improvements: clearer AutoMap / Manual Learn behaviour, compact slot-parameter labels, smoother preset load and browse flows, host window resize and macro menu fixes, visual polish across tabs and the mixer, and spectrum-analyser cleanup—see the highlights below.
Highlights
- Added Slot Scenes: every slot now carries a bank of eight scenes in the Slot MID Scenes page, each storing the hosted plugin's parameter state (and optionally the slot mixer under All capture scope). Scenes auto-capture as you leave them, switch instantly from the strip, copy/paste/clear from the right-click menu, and travel with the slot at every preset tier.
- Added Scene Target quick-map on the Slot MID Scenes page to attach a slot macro as Scene Selector (step through filled scenes), Scene Morph (blend adjacent filled scenes), or Scene Crossfade (timed, transport-synced blend from the active scene to a chosen filled target, with musical duration from Sixteenth through One Bar). Clear removes the scene-mode mapping. Scene modes are assigned from Scene Target only—not from the Macro MID Continuous / Switch / Steps menu.
- Scene Crossfade turns the mapped macro into scene launch buttons (dial or slider layout) so strip clicks and macro buttons start the same timed blend to a chosen scene.
- Scene Selector, Scene Morph, and Scene Crossfade respond to host automation, MIDI / Inter::State[Bridge], and the rhythmic modulator where applicable.
- Added Slider view for the macro panel: use the + / − rail above the strip to switch between Dial view (four dials per page) and Slider view (all eight macros in a 2×4 grid). Your layout choice is remembered separately for Main, each rack, and each slot; mappings, modulation, MIDI, and macro values are unchanged either way.
- Added typed value entry for macros: click the dial value box to type an exact value, or double-click a dial or slider body for the same (including On/Off for switch macros); press Enter to apply.
- Inter::State[Bridge] (v1.1.3): double-click typed value entry now works on Direct CC Macro-page mini dials and the Inter::State 1–8 sliders. Direct CC Mixer-page double-click still resets Gain / Volume / Pan / Widen to default.
- Improved signal-triggered macro modulation (Input, Sidechain, and Trace 1): when the signal crosses your Threshold, the modulation curve plays once for the current beat subdivision, then returns to the start and waits for the next hit. If nothing crosses the threshold, the dial stays at the start of the curve instead of keeping looping on its own.
- Improved modulator Lookahead and latency alignment: Lookahead now delays Inter::State audio by the same amount reported to the host so the track stays locked with the rest of the project; Slot and Rack MID latency readouts include Lookahead where you use it; the scope stays beat-aligned; and signal-triggered shaping stays in time with latency-inducing plugins while still retriggering cleanly on each hit.
- Improved plugin scan results for FX workflows: AU MIDI FX plugins are now automatically excluded from the Inter::State plugin list, while valid audio effects remain available.
- Fixed plugin editor resize behaviour when using the host's title-bar controls: maximising the Inter::State window now keeps the full square interface visible on screen, and restoring the previous size no longer leaves panels and controls misaligned.
- Fixed MID panel titles so their text size updates correctly while you resize the plugin window.
- Fixed macro parameter-selector menus: the parameter list now closes when you click the chevron again, search text no longer clips letter bottoms, and filtered options keep their framed button styling while you type.
- Fixed saved macro mapping recall when loading a plugin: the Use Saved / Learn Fresh prompt now appears before the hosted plugin editor opens, Learn Fresh follows your Main Menu AutoMap default, and the AutoMap button reflects the active state.
- Shortened slot-parameter display names so macro idle labels and host automation lanes stay compact.
- Fixed Manual Learn when AutoMap is already on, and prevented AutoMap learn from picking up controls that only report MIDI CC values for display.
- Removed the success confirmation dialog after loading a preset and kept the preset browser open after loading so you can try another without reopening it.
- Loading a global preset now switches the UI to Main context first.
- Refined notification, rack-tab, visualiser-selector, and mixer Phase-button presentation.
- Fixed Main macro dials mapped to mixer Phase buttons so they use switch mode.
- Fixed a brief dark flash when rapidly moving plugins and a crash when removing a plugin during playback.
- Fixed spectrum analyser artefacts in Multiband Split view and improved OpenGL performance for visualiser and cable displays.
- Fixed Swing and Zoom drag behaviour in Osc. CONTROL and prevented playback dropouts while adjusting them.
